2What kind of creatures are we? Pursuing that simple question takes us unexpectedly down the rabbit hole of human nature. We are indeed an enigma to ourselves. The 2018 Swiss Biennial on Science, Technics + Aesthetics fused insights from the sciences and humanities in an exhilarating exploration of the mystery that is us.

What do you support when you become a donator of the Biennial?

The Swiss Biennial on Science, Technics and Aesthetics has an unrivaled reputation in Europe and proves that the scientific debates, which have been taking place in Lucerne on a high level for over 25 years, do not only take place in global metropolises such as New York or London.

With 400 to 500 participants, the Swiss Biennial has a Europe-wide USP. In addition to the conference "The Science of Consciousness" held in the US (since 1994, Tucson / Arizona), the Biennial brings the most debated topics in consciousness research to Lucerne and focuses on areas such as ecological consciousness and environmental ethics.
